off the grid....

My friend David arrives this afternoon from Australia for five days. I'm going to be pretty much off the grid his entire visit. We're going up to Mendocino in the morning for three days - then back to San Francisco on Tuesday (tattoo!) - then he heads back to Australia on Wednesday evening.

David is a treasured friend of mine - (and the origin of one of my nicknames, 'porkchop') - and I'm delighted to have the opportunity to explore a new part of my world with him (the beaches of northern california) - and just spend some quality time. I'll (as usual) take bazillion pictures - and perhaps even a video post or two - but won't get them on the net till Tuesday or Wednesday.

We've rented a cottage on the water - with an unrestricted ocean view. So it'll just be me, David and Miss Kate for the weekend. I'm going to cook up a storm (i've been picking my favorite recipes) - and it's Mendocino Country Fair weekend too - so I see scary fair thrill rides and cotton candy in our future as well.

oh I would consult with said weasel to get appropriate shot of him say - in bed naked from the waist up - so David and I could then photoshop in between us in bed. It'd be our pleasure actually :) like a thrill ride photo from disneyland only the thrill is all fantasy - but still a trill nonetheless.
