"Bark!"

Another byproduct of being Comcastless - is a lot more quality time with Kateydog!
Snuggles. Balltime. KilltheBobotm. all this plus her normal walk/sniffpatrol and belly rub in the morning. :)

Tonight we took our 9pm walkies - and walked up through the neighborhood along the side of Buena Vista park and the wind was whistling. I was in my coat - and her kerchief was blowing in the wind - she looked so pretty. We turned down Haight Street back towards the house - and she turned to me in the dark and just barked. once. REALLY loudly. It was pretty hysterical! As we started down the hill towards the lower haight - she'd stop every six or seven feet and turn and "BARK!". Her tail was wagging - and it was just so much fun to see her so happy.

Kateydog only barks when she's happy - she never learned to bark in defense - or to bark at strangers. She only barks when she's excited and happy. We got home and she burst in the door and up the stairs to turn and "BARK! BARK!" - doing her little whole body wag she does - and we just finished a rousing game of "KilltheBobotm" - as Pete [livejournal.com profile] pulsecub and Drew [livejournal.com profile] bootedintexas will attest (as the two newest members of the KateyDog fan club) - she's tenacious at killing the bobo.

She's sleeping next to me on the couch - kicking and whimpering in her sleep. I wonder what she dreams about. I bet it's wonderful! She turns 8 on October 15th... I'm getting her a spa day - and a bunch of new toys - and a new set of kibble&water bowls. oh - and bacon.

Kateydog does indeed do a great job of killing the Bobo! :) And she's a wonderful cuddler too; Monday morning, she snuggled right up to me for a while in bed. It was wonderful.

Give her a big hug and kiss for me. :)

It's so cute the way you describe her barking when she is happy. :)

When Sophie had her first birthday, we made her a cake from this book:

http://www.amazon.com/Three-Dog-Bakery-Cookbook-All-Natural/dp/0836269195

With frosting. We had a doggie-bone cookie cutter and traced that onto the cake for her. She was very happy.

Of course, being a dachshund, if it involved eating, she was always happy.

what a fun little romp. and i didn't know you're in SF. I'm from the bay area, lived there 30+ yrs (mostly east bay). When I lived in the city, i lived on 19th St between Noe & Sanchez right in the Stro, worked at The Chronicle (advertising dept). Loved that your dog only barks when happy and that, specifically, she never learned to bark in defense or at strangers. sweet pooch, nice that you love her so much.

did a brief stint in advertising for the denver post/rocky mtn news classified dept, but now all of my marketing/advertising efforts go into promoting my real estate practice. I've been selling property for almost 7 years now. Like that line Joni Mitchell writes in River: "Im going to make a lot of money Then Im going to quit this crazy scene..." I love working with people, but don't know if I want to do this forever.
