the neighbor and dogwalker called and Kateydog has gotten right back to zero. she's thrown up all over the house - and would not come out of her crate for either the dogwalker nor my neighbor. (both of whom she adores) The neighbor is running her to the vet. They are going to give her subcutaneous fluids - and then I'm going to go in tomorrow and learn to give her the subcutaneous fluids myself. By Sunday the poor thing hasn't eaten but a 1/4 cup of rice in a week. After her bounce back - this is has been a real let down. The doctor suggested putting her in the hospital all weekend - but thats simply not a financial option - I spent all my emergency money on the hospitalization Monday and Tuesday. I'm just feeling helpless - and to get a call at work from my neighbor and dogwalker in tears - was just heartbreaking. The doctor says if she does not get better by Monday - that we won't have many options left. damnit.
