Well tonight is my last shift at the bookstore. I had NO idea what an impact taking a second job would be... it feels like I haven't had a moments real rest in nearly two months. add to that - that the back-to-back houseguests created quite a welcome stir here in my little Waller street sanctuary. but - I'm looking forward to a few nights of peace and quiet. no dates. no houseguests. no extra work. just me and miss kate and some quality alone time.

Yay for that. :)

Ooooh, I know what you mean, lowfat. Solitude aka peace and quiet - particularly when we don't have it - is so under-rated.

Happy new year, my friend!

Did I remember to thank you for your comment about enjoying my last year's worth of journaling? I don't remember where you said that - i don't think it was on my journal actually. but. the feeling is more than mutual - despite the distance and all - I really feel connected to you as a friend reading about you and Nanookville. You on my friends list is one of LJ's biggest gifts to me.

Well, I wanted to acknowledge most of all your honesty.

You are unique, you know.

I once lived on Waller St. in Austin Texas. It was the "wrong side of the tracks." But it was one of the happiest periods in my life.

I see Kona coffee and a bathtub in your immediate future.

Man, do I ever know what you mean. I didn't have house guests but my recent trip had as many downs as ups, making me want to flee to the comfort of my old routine. I even look forward to going back to work after more than a week away.

Enjoy your quality time sweet man. May it herald the beginning of a great new year.
