I'm off with Miss Kate today to spend the day and evening at a buddhist retreat near Monte Rio. It's a communal setting - sleeping in a great room. two other dogs are booked for the weekend - so I'm hoping they all get along. Katey and I are looking forward to quiet contemplation in the woods . and I signed up to help with cooking and serving dinner. I had honestly forgotten I'd signed up for this trip till the email reminder/confirmation came Thursday. I'll be back in the city around Mid-day on Sunday.

Buddhist retreats in the redwood forests? We have those in Indiana too. Well, ecxcept that instead of Buddhists, they're Baptists, and we don't have redwoods, but there are some pretty big trees at the KOA off I-65.
