Nope - there is no Thoreau quote about raisin toast and chocolatey kona. *cackle*
But for those of you on Weight Watchers there is this retelling of Walden had Thoreau been on program.
It's quite a month coming up for classical music fans in San Francisco! KDFC is sponsoring FOUR great shows in nightclubs next month. Classical music in intimate jazz club settings. We've dubbed it "KDFC IN THE CLUBS MONTH". It features a concert by the exquisite Los Angeles Guitar Quartet, the emmy-award-winning Quartet San Francisco, the U.S. debut of pianist Helen Jane Long, and a groovy technoclassical set by Mercury Soul. (DJs and digital music fans will particularly be interested in the Mercury Soul set, http://www.mercurysoul.org) All of these groups are world-class - - and it's going to make for quite the month of shows. Tickets for the LAGQ show and the QuartetSF will go quickly so if this sounds like your cup o' tea - head on over to KDFC.com to buy tickets.
Deborah Cox's "Destination Moon" recording, a Dinah Washington tribute album - is currently playing nonstop on my iPod.
