no - I think of atlantis as a once thriving empire that sunk into the ocean when it became unbalanced with the rest of the world. I love this map - I made it for a project at Boise State years ago. I don't see love as a myth - I see love at a place like atlantis that you don't know you've reached till you are there on the slopes of the island, and it doesn't really exist on any map - but we know it's there. and that no compass is going to lead us to love - love just finds us. in the form of friends, face licking puppies, boyfriends, lovers or partners. Does that make my love of this piece clearer? It wasn't a negative statement at all. :)
I (of all people) would never devalue love. :) Love is real - you just have to patient for b'shert - it can't be forced.
Ah. but myths are the only true things. :P I do not see love as a place, but rather a state of beingness, indeed for me truth and love are the only absolutes, and they are One.
