thoreauTom and I had a pretty intense conversation on the way home in the car - about being near death from AIDS and Cancer - and recovering. and not ever thinking we'd be where we are today. it was very hard - and almost tear inducing. god we can lead difficult lives. Our road can be really hard. Is it right that people 40 and 50 years old - never thought they'd get here - to this age. sometimes shit can just pile on you and create a weariness. Friends can be so strong for one another - and that's where the hope lies. Through our intense conversation today - I really bonded with Tom in a whole new way. Promised to be there for him as a friend whenever he needs it. and I have friends that are already out there that I support like that already. and I guess all I'd say is remind yourself of those friends in your life - and BRING THEM INTO YOUR HEART. they are the source of hope in our lives. and must not be forgotten. simply put.
