lackluster audition

(sigh) well - I had a lackluster audition. Almost everyone else in the que for the audition were guys with existing relationships with the theater; and sat and chattered with each other. The only thing I have going for me is that I was the only one truly in his 40s as one of the roles calls for. but - a little makeup would make anyone look 40. So I'm not expecting to be called back - but it was a fine fine test run - and I got my theatre resume all spiffed up and debut'd my new headshot. so it wasn't all bad. When Men in Uniform premieres May 30 - you really should go see it though - - - five VERY funny vignettes. Including two army officers at "gay sensitivity training" - and sexy scene between St. Peter and a young drag queen arriving in heaven. St Peter likes the boys apparently! :) anyhow - - thats that. I'm heading to bed - I'm going to beat this cold. I have too much life to conquer. Too much I tell you!

oh - say a small prayer for Brett septimuswarren - he's on a "sleep over" event with 40 (yes I said 40) pubscent brides of christ. He needs all the love from us we can send.

and we still haven't heard about Mikey skullbunny and Beast beastbriskett - and that just is weighing on me incredibly hard. (megasigh)

What!? You didn't tell me you were going to an audition. Well I'm glad you did. I'm sure it wasn't easy to shine with your cold. ("Sparkle, Nealy, Sparkle!")

I think St. Peter should be replaced with the Lord himself. With me in that role, you'd look so much better.

I HATE auditions, which is why I gave up acting. I was a camera actor. I'd get parts for commercials from auditions that I knew were crap, and then didn't get parts from auditions I had nailed , but hadn't slept with the casting director. So I pimped out my car for movies instead. On a fun note, every car I ever owned or drove can be seen in episodes of "Spenser: For Hire".

Correction: 58 VBOCs. It went well. I'm home now, in bed, with a hot pad on my shoulder where I have some tissue that hurts when I'm stressed. Still waiting to see if the healer/Dr. is going to be able to fit me in.
