Got up at 5am and leaving Kateydog and David behind - I headed for the Oakland Airport. David is not a morning person... he spoke in tongues when I said goodbye. Miss Kate snuggled in against them I hit the road. I'm now at the Oakland Airport having a cup of joe - here an hour early for my 840am flight to Seattle.

Last evening David and I went to Sundance Saloon and bootscooted all night long. I had forgotten how much fun swing, two step and line dancing can be. and the guys are so darned friendly (and particularly last night - it was 100% cowbeef night. Man there are some pretty men in the world) David is a longtime regular - so had a full dance card - and it was fun to watch him do the line dances. One in particular "walk the line" - was a serious cardio workout and was done to "Sin Wagon" by the Dixie Chicks. It was fun to mention to people I danced with that I work for 95.7 The Wolf (Fresh Country) and hear feedback. So many people are thankful there is a country station in the bay area. I started doing the twirls and whirls twostepping last night - and David and I enjoyed a couple of lovely "shadow" dances together.

Bart and Airbart were totally deserted this morning. I was the only one on the AirBart bus from BART.

Upon arriving in Seattle - I'll meet up with my friend John - and then he and I will head downtown to meet [livejournal.com profile] bukephalus and tour the Seattle Art Museum. The exhibit is Ancient Roman Artifacts on loan from the Louvre. That - plus the museum's amazing collection of First Nation Art - should make it a serious artgasm. I am looking forward to showing John and Mr. Phalus the glasswork of Preston Singletary... an art inspiration of mine.

Then we'll head up into Pikes Place for luncheage. This'll be my first time meeting Mr. Phalus - so I am sure lots of laughter is in store. He's the bestest.

This evening - I'm not sure whats on tap.

Tomorrow I'm having breakfast with an old friend of mine - who's just a few months past a bad breakup of a nearly 20 year relationship. It will be very nice to reconnect with him and make sure he's okay. then John and I have plans to hit the aboreteum with his new dog Maggy - and then tomorrow evening? Pacific Northwest Ballet's "Midsummer Night's Dream" with music by Felix Mendelssohn.

Then an early flight back on Sunday - back in the Bay Area in time for lunch on Sunday.

Well you have your handful with Hugh (I think originally you were going there right?) - and I've been there in the "waiting for results" space - and it's not fun. I'll be eager (as is everyone - especially you) for the news.
