Yesterday was just delightful. (I did post more on LJ - but somehow I lost it and just posted the pic of miss kate with a single sentence, doh!)
David and I started off the day with a pancake breakfast. I can't remember the last time I actually made pancakes. It was soooo fun. Took me a while to get the pan "right" but once it was I was mass producing thick fluffy pancakes. I made enough to put some in freezer bags to have during the week. My neighbor Jeffrey joined us for breakfast and we chatted and laughed. Jeffrey is such a great guy!
Then David and I harnessed up Miss Kate and strolled in the sunshine through the Castro boy watching - did a driveby with Tommy (
notdefined), his sister Pam, and the soon to be 50-year-old Morgan (
mh58 - then walked through the neighborhood home. We stopped by the suntan salon hoping for a otter sighting (
enhyrdasf) but - the place was blaring
with some of that loud modern music kids like these days(unintelligible screaming pop) and there was a girl behind the counter. Deciding that Josh had not decided to come to work in drag - we didn't go in. (giggle)
We came home and David read his Science and I dove into my spring issue of Fine Cooking. (It had an article about "The Truth About Gluten" which made me think of Ron and Todd - and the trio out east that are always looking out to be g-free) It also had a remarkable article for asparagus soup and well - i love that magazine!
I made a tremendous tuna steak stirfry with carrots, snap peas and corncobs. Yum factor gazillion - with a garlic, orange, plum sauce. It turned out pretty amazing.
Then (swoon) I read chapter 2 of the book to him - and we faded off to sleep. This morning we're meeting The Michaels (
sfleatherbear and
bibliocub) for breakfast at The Grind then off for a doggy playdate with their darling dogs. Then David heads home - and Miss Kate and I do KateyDogBathDay! (her favorite, not.)
ttfn.
