There are times in our lives where we discover that our paths require us to leave some things behind despite how painful they are. I've never been a believer in "destiny" per se - but I do believe that sometimes there are obstacles that create beauty - and great beauty that creates obstacles just as big. Great clear sunshine flows in my window this afternoon. I know that my path has finally corrected.... and there are new things to find. Whether i do those things hand in hand or leaving a single set of footsteps. I know my path is finally back on track. I can feel it each time I step out in the world. To have all my strength, all my health and all of my faith in myself back? makes for an interesting path ahead.

Even though I've never met you in person I've followed your LJ for some time. Throughout all the obstacles you've faced you were always projecting a positive outlook and finding the positive in the world around you. Not to get to mushy :) but I have always been impressed by your bearing and strength of character - those things that cannot be taught or fabricated, but are innate and part of one's soul. I'm glad that you are on the path you want to be and finding happiness! :)

Yes, it was! I look forward to it. In fact I saw some beautiful eggplant in the organic section at the market yesterday so we're getting back into a better season for selection of eggplant.

oh no. I'm finally clear of all unpleasantness. :) that was the point. I was writing in my personal (handwritten) journal the other night was that I let some things that appeared to be so beautiful (but were not) get in my way in the last few years. and that i was feeling like i was really truly getting PAST those things. Way before you knew me - when my ex in Idaho (Jon) broke up with me until just recently - - there has been constant change. I had just started on my way to where I am now when I met the man I dated 9 months for long distance - then moved to SF - only for his beauty to run skin deep. and it took me a long while to accept and recover from how I'd allowed that whole thing to happen. SO despite the fact that I"m renting - and not owning a home (a big deal for me) I feel like I'm moving on and up from some things that I was spending a lot of time processing through. and in the last few months I've regained myself the part of myself I'd allowed to fall asleep or be ignored while I was dating Rick - and recovering from the subsequent breakup with Rick - which then reopened issues from my breakup from the much longer (and substantial) relationship with JOn (1995 to 2004).

so no. nothing unpleasant has happened at all. I'm just regaining some equilibrium which has been slowly recharging and refinding itself.

I took the rocky start when I first moved to SF - really personally and it slapped me down hard. its feeling GREAT to finally be back on stride. Its not like I was that different - I just withdrew and stopped for about a year. :) it's been nice to get back out there - and meeting you and Just Michael has been one of the benefits of that! (smooch)
