Bernal Heights Park - oil by E. Dale Erickson

KateyDog Adventure Wednesdaytm took us to Bernal Heights this morning. We were about 615 - and in the park by 640 - we walked the trails and enjoyed the incredible views of the city at sunrise. We met a schnauzer possy - six miniature schnauzers on joined leashes... the big Pacific Islander that owned them was obviously enjoying being yanked around by the gang. Seeing Miss Kate play with such a group was way fun. (the camera was out of batteries this morning... so no photos... but next time I'm in Bernal Heights with ze'dog - I'll be sure to take the camera) Bernal Heights is one of those neighborhoods I fall in love with everytime I visit... if it were more transit friendly - I'd consider moving down there. The rest of the city can be socked in with fog - but Bernal Heights will be sunny and warm. Now that we're home Miss Kate is curled up in her bed next to me here in the bedroom snoring loudly. LOL! I'm sipping coffee and getting ready for the day.

NO BATTERIES!??

:-) Where I grew up - the naval station on Whidbey - there was an astounding population of pacific islanders (mostly because the sailors had married into the population there - or the phillipinos (as american territory) could join the service. A great friend of mine as a kid was Joe Santos - who was black/pacific islander. So he was a giant man (pacific islander) and DARK black. I can still visualize him to this day.

and sometimes - it's good to create visuals with your own mind :)
Of anyone on my friends list - I know you can bite into a mental York peppermint patty and find the right "scene"

My first glance at the picture made me think - now what software was used to doctor that photo?

Um, this is just a roman à clef, isn't it? Hawt!

It's really about you, but the names (and in this case, the species) have been changed. Think gang bang in the park.....

I'm lucky enough that my small camera case straps to my belt and has room for a spare battery. But not all cameras are as small and convenient.

But who cares when you come up with a great oil painting like that one!? A very nice post to wake up to!

my last schnauzer was Ricky - and before that, Sadie.

Miss Kate is a schnauzer/border terrier hybrid.
(hopefully she'll be spared the "elderdog" diseases)
