Glory be to the Kona, and to the Apricot Scone, and to the chocolately mocha spirit. As it was in the beginning, it is now infused with hot water and made into coffee, and ever shall be, world without end.

This morning's workout rocked! (leg day Leg Day LEG DAY!) In the car this morning we had a guest appearance Mr. Movie himself, Dave Hayes ([livejournal.com profile] dhbearguy). He is Jeff's ([livejournal.com profile] beg1n)'s new roomie... so he tagged along to shamelessly cruise otters workout at Golds.

I'm heading to Palo Alto for the weekend - to hang out with David... and I'm leaving the laptop at home. We'll be heading out to buy him a coffee machine tomorrow morning, hit the Art Museum at Stanford (hopefully) and catch the free concert put on by KDFC at the Stanford Shopping Center at noon. I'm also hoping for some sort of collision with Bob and Phil [livejournal.com profile] dendren. Perhaps a drive up into the foothills for a stop at Alice's Restaurant for the best pie in the western hemisphere. So pics and post on Sunday.

Have a great weekend. A weekend without a computer? I think my hubby would go insane. Ok, more insane. Give David my love.

two days without "i love coffee" posts. will the world be right?

It really is an indication that despite thoughts of others we are really different people. For me Coffee and Bacon are two things that God could have left off the "include these" list.

bacon. i shiver even typing it....ewwww. bacon.

Coffee i never liked. cant splain it.

Now Chai on the other hand....."Embrace Your Chai"

or as i saw in Palm Springs "Chai Me!"

Who is that crazy woman in your icon? I saw her on Food Network before when I was watching TV with no sound at the gym. She looked like she was ready to unhinge her jaws and devour someone.

it's a slightly photoshopped picture of Giada Delaurentis - - the icon haunts [livejournal.com profile] jodfoster and my brother, [livejournal.com profile] bootedintexas. I love it!

Ooh it's kinda like the Soundgarden video for Black Hole Sun. It's 'shopped? It looks like what I saw on tv :-)

Watch out. Your Episcoalian-ness/Catholic-ness is showing....

My Episcopalian Brother!

I call it "Catholic Lite"

All of the sinning, none of the confession :)

I used to go to church regularly, even sing in choir, but b/c of gas prices, schedule conflicts with work, etc. I go very infrequently. But hey, as Episco-pals, who's gonna condemn me for not going as often as I'd like?

well - since Jesus is one of my best friends - - LOL - how can I help but have that 'my deity will kick your deity's ass' purity look on my face.

I love Alice's Restaurant and Applejack's. They are great biker hangouts. If ya go to Applejacks see if there is still a Quebec license plate up on the ceiling inside near the entrance. I'll report back to a friend to let him know it's still there, if it is. I was with him when he tacked it up.

Have fun

You look so angelic in that photo, Robert. We should definitely talk about catching a ball game some time.

Enjoy your weekend with David!

Your pal,

Cory

I don't know if they are still open, but in Palo Alto was once a most excellent Italian restaurant called Osteria. As they say when you call to make a reservation "Osteria, ciao!" It's damn fine food, and a great wine list, and it's not expensive. Go if you can.

Sounds like the perfect weekend. I can't count the number of times I have meant to keep the laptop either turned off, or at home. Somehow, I think it must be posessed. It always manages to turn itself on or work its way into my luggage.
