Okay - it really isn't often that I bliss out so much over a orchestration of pop music - but the Royal Philharmonic's recording of "The Queen Symphony" by Tolga Kashif is friggin' amazing."We Will Rock You" sounds like something out of a medieval clash soundtrack - and "Who Wants to Live Forever" is transformed.
Way. Amazing.
I am so lucky to work where I do with exposure to so much unbelievably cool music.

Date: 2008-04-18 06:50 pm (UTC)And I love Queen! I got to see them twice in concert!
A friend tried to get me backstage to meet Freddie but I chickened out...
And "Who Wants to Live Forever?" has special meaning with Freddie's death...

Date: 2008-04-20 12:17 am (UTC)As the song finished, I scrolled back to find "Bohemian Rhapsody". I started listening to it and thinking about his post and how I would love to arrange this into a choir arrangement. I'm sure it's been done already but still, it would be a great challenge.
We then arrived at the field and my thoughts were lost...until now.
