Just shared dinner and a movie with Michael (bibliocub) - - we had philly cheesesteaks and watched Shortbus.

and just like Donnie Darko - i'm pretty well stopped and blown away by the whole thing.

Such a strange, yet "addicting" film!

It's an absolutely amazing, enthralling film, one of my favorites. I had previously seen Justin Bond in concert (as Kiki of Kiki and Herb), and loved him this film. Another member of the Cast, Jay Brannan (who played Ceth) has a number of songs on YouTube. The whole cast was really great.



We really need more films that aren't afraid of sex. It's great to see a film that shows that sex in a movie doesn't mean it has to take over the whole movie or that the movie is "about" sex.

Okay, stop me before I blather. I could go on and on about this movie.

Shortbus really rocked my world, it is just incredible on so many different levels.

I just watched "Southland Tales", taobear had a viewing recently. It is by Richard Kelly, the same Writer/Director of Donnie Darko. Even more of a 'trip' than Darko... it took me a week to decide if I liked it or not... but I thought it was well done from the beginning.

Isn't Shortbus the most AWESOME movie?

Who cares about the sex... the story is just so intriguing and the acting fabulous and believable - and it just pulls you in for the ride, and it's an amazing ride, that's for sure.

You have to be VERY brave actors to pull those sorts of performances off, to say the least. And excuse the pun! :-)
