Thanks for all the supportive notes this morning today when I was getting all unsettled over the news about the homesearch. I got very down. David - bless his heart - talked me through seeing it from the apartment owners perspective - calmed me down. and I started looking at other ideas. Now - I'm at home - with my Men's Health, Fine Cooking and Smithsonian magazines in this evening's mail - and I'm simply stopping. I have a place to see tomorrow night that is actually right on the Vulcan steps - how cool would THAT be? so - deep calming soothing breaths will get me through this - and on to the next adventure. David is such a great calming voice in my life right now. I scored major lucky points on meeting him. :) and friends like Mr. Golden and Mr. P that called and offered pompom sessions of their own today. so :) yep - it's going to work out - the universe 'll provide the perfect situation. and me and Miss Kate? We'll make it to that next place soon.

Vulcan Steps is pretty cool - of course not for me at the moment. :) Have you seen Sister Betty's page dedicated to all the area stairs?

http://www.sisterbetty.org/stairways/stairways.htm#rating

He has them organized by location, length, and personal rating.

There's something we have to understand: things don't happen usually when we want but when they have to happen. You'll find a place soon - And people keep on posting ads constantly.

Keep on with the appartment search. I'm sending you tons of good vibes from here!

I lived on Vulcan Stairway, fortunately I was at the top. I can't imagine moving into a place where you had to walk down half a city block of steps just to take the trash out.

That said, I loved living there, the bedroom I had was just way too small.

I have COMPLETE confidence that you and Miss Kate will land on your own respective feet.
As my father always said, "Don't sweat the small stuff."
Of course, moving is not small stuff, at least not in the big picture of it all, but you get my drift.
I'm cheering for you dear!

I have a mantra that I use in such stressful situations.

Whether or not it appears so now, the universe is unfolding as it should.

This will work out. You're putting in the time and effort, and the right situation will reveal itself. It's terribly frustrating and a bit intimidating right now, but this will come together with just a bit more push.

Good idea to take a bit of time off to clear your head, too. You'll return invigorated to the search.

Best of luck!

Breathe, my friend, breathe. You shall pass this test, too.
