Okay - inspired by [livejournal.com profile] coreyblank's 30 smiles posts - here's my twist. I am going to write a short story a week for 30 weeks. Yeah - you heard me, thirty short stories. From now until the end of the year - one short story a week. Of course, they'll be rough - and of course, they won't be "finished" when I post them - but - here's the trick. I will write a short story based on a 50 word or less premise ya'll will comment on this post. It's easy - think about it, then comment with a 50 word or less premise for a 1000 word short story. No subject is too taboo - no subject is too wierd. I mean - thats why authors research right? so - start hitting me up - and then I'll sort and publish a schedule - starting on June 2nd. :) Hit me with your best shot.

“Make yourself happy,” he said. “Do what makes you happy and I’ll be happy.” I looked in his eyes and took him at his word, but was still scared. It was only when he smiled that I had the strength to jump…

With decreasing raw materials and over population, men and women have been banned by the Society for World Preservation from having sex. This has resulted in a completely same-sex oriented society, globally. How does this affect the world's religion, politics and economic status?

A rough, tough BDSM Master is transported to a parallel dimension where your reputation as a sadist is based on your knowledge of 'Hello Kitty'.

The California Supreme Court considers weather banning same-sex marriage is constitutional, then decides that any sort of special privileges given to one specific group of people is wrong and bans all forms of marriage.

He's a hot little muscle cub. A near duplicate of myself. Furry in all the right places and a bubble butt that I want to plant my face in. And he sleeps in tighty-whities that drive me crazy. I know he likes dick and loves to be fucked, but not sure if he would be interested, being my brother an all.

Oh, you don't know the half of it. ;@) You could replace the word "brother" with "son" if you like. Either story would wonderful reading.

it has to be consensual

OK here's a premise for a story:

A priest, an imam, and a rabbi walk into a room...

two twin brothers coming out to each other on a bart ride in east bay?

No fair!

I was going to suggest "Twin brothers, raised in the Pacific NW, come out to one another and become authors!"

If Hollywood had written that, we'd all go "Nah, too unbelievable!"

actually - he's got the timing a little off - he forgets a weekend in Oxnard and a trip to the amusement park (and the house off base with the psychopath and hishot boyfriend?) that happened YEARS before the BART trip. but- the BART trip was a great time together.

OK Robert you asked for it! Lets have a story based in the real life and times of Thoreau and Walt Whitman with yourself as a young lad, say around age 16, meeting these masters for the first time at Walden's pond. Let's make the day gloomy and raining which matches your frame of mind and spirit. I'll leave it open to you what is the source of this mood and how you happen to find yourself at Walden's Pond. This should be fun!

Write me a story in first-person, about someone whose value system differs from yours. I don't have to feel sympathy toward the narrator/lead character, but I do have to be empathetic.
