Several of you have asked about how Miss Kate has been doing with the new move. Well - unlike other moves this one has thrown the dear into a bit of a spin. All sorts of new things - elevators, balconies - - and on top of it new noises whether to decide to bark at or not. The wind from the balcony makes the door tap on the doorway and everytime it does - she barks like someone has knocked. So I have a trouble ticket in to get that looked at. My 80 year old neighbor already asked me if Katey is going to bark like that all the time. (marge simpson grrrrr inserted here) She's staked out her beds and favorite sun spots already. I know she'll settle - but I confused by taking her back by the Waller apartment yesterday to clean. She was pretty attached to that house. But this morning she's already calmer.

She's a loverly-jubberly wee girl, and this is a lot for a puppems to take in all at once!

Until the maintenance people arrive, perhaps get some weather stripping and put into the door's track (assuming you mean the balcony door)? That might be a $5 fix to the issue with the 80-year-old-neighbour.

Hopefully once you get the door fixed her barking will be solved. Poor little thing, it does take a while for pups to get used to a new home. I know Finlay likes his new home in CA a lot better than CT because he loves carpets.

She'll settle in once she gets used to the new noises. Tell the neighbor to be patient with the dear Miss Kate; maybe even introduce them to each other. There's nothing that will make her be more patient than getting a dose of love from the doggy diva herself! I mean, really, who couldn't love that face?

that is precisely what I did - my two end of the hall neighbors are two elderly ladies who are obviously good friends and chat buddies.
