OMG what a night!

Leo and I raced over and stood in line at the Symphony - and it sold out - 9 or 10 folks ahead of us. *grumble* Well I look at Leo and Leo looks at me and we RUN for the Orpheum Theater - and VOILA - 5th row seats for THE DROWSY CHAPERONE! OMG what a fun delightful show! We laughed and laughed and laughed.

SF'ers - this show is simply fantastic. GO SEE IT!

I haven't laughed that much at theater in a very very long time!

I'm sorry that you didn't get to satisfy your Bernadette connection (I love her, and have her autograph from when she did Annie Get Your Gun on Broadway). But, Drowsy Chaperone, looked like (almost) equal fun! Yay for you and Leo.

yeah - it was a pretty good trade off. It was a rollercoaster though - watching Bernadette sell out in front of us - then literally running for the other theater - and sitting down as the lights dimmed. The show is stupendous - a man telling you about his favorite broadway show - narrating, stopping things and humorously - the record skips here and there - or he feels the need the repeat things for emphasis - its simply devine theater!
