BRUNCH! Photo by [livejournal.com profile] bukephalus .
(l to r) The Goldens, Me!, Mr. Phalus and Leo

There have been times when my place in the world is clearly affirmed and today was one of them. I got dressed in my leathers and headed out for a day of Dorey'ing with friends. I met [livejournal.com profile] bukephalus , [livejournal.com profile] sfleatherbear , [livejournal.com profile] bibliocub and Leo for breakfast at Octavia lounge. (they put on a filling but not too flavorful brunch/buffet) David will love it because they have "variety" - the v word is very important to Dr. Goldberg. :)

ANyhoos - - we had a lovely brunch then walked to Dore (totally forgetting about the Stompers Boot-B-Q). There were beautiful smiling men in every direction. It was SOOOO affirming to watch people getting around celebrating their every conceivable fetish out in the open. I enjoyed watching sopping wet watersports guys walk by, guys happily wearing flog marks, happy nudists showing us their bits, intense leather guys who if they smiled it would ruin their butchness, bears, boys, daddies, etc. It was a parade of parades and everyone made me feel right in the middle of it and that I clearly belonged there. It was awesome!

I met so many new LJers - particularly the latexed [livejournal.com profile] airporter and for the first time in person, [livejournal.com profile] sinnabor and [livejournal.com profile] growler_south who when their wonder powers combine are WAY more adorable that should be allowed by nature, I saw the newlyweds Robbie and Fish - - a short appearance by Paul and Curtis.... and so many others.

Part of it was that I was hanging out with Michael and Michael - who are two of the coolest guys on the planet. And they knew a large share of the parade of men - and all sorts came by for a short (or not so short) kiss and hug - and I met so many neat people. I met Michael Levy on the same day that I met David - in Tom Kelly's hottub - - and my life has really been changed by meeting the two Michaels and my adorable boyfriend David. The good news is that I had a great, life affirming time; can't wait to share such an experience with David (Folsom/Hairisson, etc...) and just had a great time.

Leo, Mr. Phalus and I came back here for dinner..... and I served "the chicken" to rave reviews- then Mr. Phalus interviewed me for his blog (coming soon to [livejournal.com profile] bukephalus !) for his "LJ LIVE" interview series. (I talk with my hands in a serious way)

To cap the day off - I just had a long phone conversation with <lj user="septimuswarren"> and now Miss Kate and I are basking in the quiet. back to work tomorrow - and an entire WEEK of run-throughs of the play. eeek!

Darlin', we had such a great time today. It was in a great part due to you and Leo. Thanks so much and good luck with this week of run-throughs. Hugs and cuddles.

i'm not posting that to LJ - and you (missy!) are impatient! (and impertinent but that is a whole other matter)

A pleasure, sir. As a debut, that was fun!

I'm hurt! Yes, we officially be-friended that day in Tom's hot tub but we'd actually met briefly on several prior occasions quite some time ago. Was I that forgettable? :-(

Despite my wounded pride, I had a great time with you and the others yesterday. The cold weather did not hamper the festivities.

well - we didn't really integrate into each others lives until we met at Tom's. We were truly aware of each other (even friending on journal) but we didn't start soaking in the palmolive till March of this year. (smooch)

I ALWAYS see so many photos and entries about Dore Alley, and I am AMAZED at what goes on in public - and what is ALLOWED to go on public! *yikes*

I seem to remember someone telling me a story about policeman asking a stall owner to pack up because he didn't have the right permit, whist two fully naked men stroked their hard-ons no more than a few metres away... SURELY that must be an Urban Myth!!!?? :-)

I'll get there one day... *sigh*
