thoreauTonight at 5pm was our first run-through where it felt like nobody stumbled on lines, nobody waited for ques and we really fed off one another. It was tremendous! Ed Decker, the Artistic Director for the theatre center, came to watch the first act and loved it so much he called, postponed dinner plans and stayed for the 2nd half. (good sign!) There are several scenes where my character is vibrating and bloody nervous he can barely talk and I finally felt "he" reached those tonight - a sense of caring deeply but also being miles out of his comfort zone. It felt nice to find that moment for my character and really nail it.
These next three weeks are brutal:
Yep - you read correctly - three weeks with all but two days on stage at the theater. (yikes!)
The flip-side of that schedule - is that the actors are a hoot-and-half to work with - we are genuinely having the time of our lives. This play is going to cook in front of a live audience.
Now to spend a quiet evening with Miss Kate and read. Yay!

- Monday night: Final Costume Fitting/Scene work
- Tuesday Night: Run through
- Wednesday Night: Run through
- Thursday Night: Run through
- Saturday afternoon: Technical cue to cue
- Sunday: Tech Rehearsal (the bane of all theatre experience)
- Monday: Dress
- Tuesday: Dress
- Wednesday: Dress
- Thursday: Dress
- Friday: First Preview
- Saturday: Second Preview
- Sunday afternoon: Third Preview
- Monday: Dark
- Tuesday: Line-Through - retouch
- Wednesday: Fourth Preview
- Thursday: Fifth Preview
- Friday: Final Preview (Pay What You Wish Night)
- Saturday: OPENING NIGHT!
