Kateydog is such a sweetheart. Every morning when I go in to take a morning shower - she positions herself right outside the door like a guard dog - and looks after me. Kateydog has a long standing dislike for anything resembling getting wet and still after nearly 9 years of living with me, doesn't understand how I could subject myself to a morning shower.

She literally follows me down the hall and stops and looks at me as if to say "you be careful in there - you never know what will happen while you are getting wet." and looks up at me with a look of genuine disdain as I step out of the shower all wet. "Just look at yourself!," she says. She clearly doesn't approve.

Then as I dry off - you can literally see her calm down. Now - I know - skeptics out there might think that her reaction to the shower is purely selfish - wondering if this will be the day she has to get in there with me. but since she goes to the groomers every three months, the horror that is bath-day is long gone.

She's curled up behind my computer chair - snoring. The morning encounter with "the wet" long forgotten.

My cat often does that, too.

BooBoo will sit right outside the bathroom door while I'm showering, as if to say, "How on Earth do you DO that???"

Peanut guards me, too. But, she thinks it's her duty to lick the water from my legs.

Delectable Human juice...

Amy doesn't actually mind her occasional bath, provided it's only occasional - she doesn't fancy it, nor does she much like swimming.

She does, however, enjoy licking every drop of moisture from our damp bodies just after we shower... tasty, tasty human juice...

She must be part cat. Mine sits on the bed staring at the bathroom til I come out and she can sniff that I'm okay. If I get in the bathtub she will look at me like I'm crazy and walk back out.

Blessings

Trixie has taken up a habit that used to be a Lola ritual. When I get into the shower, Trixie also shows a great deal of concern for my wellbeing. And the minute I step out of the shower to dry off, Trixie is on the spot, drying off my legs with her tongue.

That's a very cute story.

Gunther, one of my schnauzers, always followed me to the bathroom, no matter what I was doing in there. If I closed the door, he would get really anxious and start scratching at the door after a couple of minutes.

He trained me to get in and out of the bathroom quickly.

Bless his doggie soul. He passed away 9 years ago this month.

Ginger, my late dog, was HORRIFIED if she got wet. The kennel told us she was part Lab - not. Fortunately, she was short haired, so it was easy to clean her up quickly.
Cassie, the cat I left in Cleveland, not only liked the water, but she would occassionally join me in a bath, while I was in the tub.
Truly weird pets.

Too cute! Our kitty sits next to the shower when I am in there, with a worried look on his face. He is curious about the shower almost enough to jump in.

We have tickets for Sunday's show! We are looking forward to it and hope to see you (besides on stage!).
