breakfast with tom & medium sized jackets

Today was simply wonderful....




We started off with breakfast with Tom Kelly - and laughed our way through an always delicious breakfast at Stacks. then David and I wandered down to Nordstrom Rack to look at jackets. One of the most pleasing aspect of losing weight and getting back in shape - is shopping for MEDIUM jackets. Every jacket I own is big Bob large or extralarge - and I'm swimming in them... so off we went.

Here I am in my Missy Elliot jacket:



A bit Okay - it's way too fucking shiny and inflata-poofy; but the look on David's face when I asked to take a photo was priceless - him thinking that I was really considering it. priceless!

This second jacket had a style that appealed to me - it was simple - and fleece lined - but in retrospect looks a little too much like a UPS uniform jacket. but the kelly green and beigy white seemed awfully uninspired colour-wise - so the search for the perfect jacket continues.



we also walked through Bed Bath and Beyond - looking for bedding changes. I like my bed - but I'd like a pop of artsy color. I found the choices at BB&B a little uninspired - so we came home on the internet and found these sets on overstock.com:



We'll see.....

I know you didn't ask for input but....

The 3rd jacket may be uninspired color-wise but it looks great on you and very modern. Most guys could not wear it well but you can and do.

The Missy Jacket would be the perfect accessory for a certain stretch of Market Street, but ... yeah, not so much on you.

I know that for me, finding both jackets and bedding that *grab* me can be a lengthy process ... both types of products seem to be either very wild/of-the-moment or deathly dull, with little in between. That said, overstock.com is my vote for finding good bedding at a great price.

I think you were right not to get any of the jackets. I'm in the same boat - I'm always on the lookout for a nice cool/cold-weather jacket, but never find what I want. I don't really know what I want, but hopefully, I'll know it when I see it.

You know, with that apartment, I'd go with a big white down comforter and pillow cases, and sky blue sheets. It would look like you were sleeping in clouds above the city.
