FFFF#5 - 'Schnitzelhaus'

Another fine dinner out with the Fine Food Feeding Frenzy Club! This month - Michael 1of3 bibliocub chose 'Schnitzelhaus' on 9th at Folsom in San Francisco. Much beer was consumed as was LARGE giant cuts of schnitzel and rabbit and lamb. It was truly wonderful! (full picture gallery here) David and I have such a great time with everyone. I found the food to be awfully rich - and overwhelming. Believe it or not our little group of food lovers chose no dessert. It was a tremendously joyous cap to a sunny warm weekend on all fronts.

As for the food - I didn't come away thinking I have to rush back. The atmosphere is quaint - but the polka music was playing at 900Db above the pain-level rendering real conversation almost impossible. I had the cordon bleu - which was tremendous - but a portion meant for several people. David had the rabbit and loved it. The beer is very cold - and served enthusiastically. They have taken over the space next door and will expand - I hope they offer a polka-free section after they expand. :)
