So - remember these magazine covers I designed from back around Christmas?

well it's that time again. for a new slurry of magazine covers - thing is? I'm stumped.
This all started with a parody of Bear Magazine called "Furry Opinionated Bitch" - then the hilarious covers of "Endoscope" - a queer version of the National Enquirer - and then "Better Bears and Gardens".

Any ideas for what we might do this time?

Also - - I usually ask for pictures of LJers engaged in something - like reading or cooking. I'd also love ideas as to what this round's activity might be. (and no - I am not doing sexual positions or nakedness as there are only so many people that will let their nudity go into the blogosphere. :)

SO - gals and grrls and guys - hit me with your ideas - then I'll launch the first cover of the new periodical (i am always issue #1 because whats good for the goose is good for the gander) - but - anyhow..

LETS BRAINSTORM! - - ready. set. GO!

that picture is pretty disturbing - :) perhaps you'll submit it later - but - I'm looking for ideas for the magazine "theme" rather than picture submissions....

I agree with Bukephalos and Bruno ... the election and politics are the Big Deal right now. Something along the lines of "Mother Jones" or "The Nation" (very left-y) but with a bear twist.

I resemble that remark!

Since this is the election season, maybe you should do a spinoff of Time, Newsweek, U.S. 'Tudes and World Report or some political mag?

I had that idea, but wasn't sure if he wanted to keep the BETTER BEARS & GARDENS Magazine.

Hmmm...

I like the already-suggested idea of a political bear magazine.
A music-themed one could work too...
A spoof on Skymall: Guymall...
How about a magazine to celebrate comment-whoring? :)

Or you could have B.Q = Bears Quarterly or make it B.B.Q = Better Bears Quarterly. (damn, now I want barbeque).

There's Martha Stewart Living, so why don't you do Low Fat Muffin Living. There's Vanity Fair, so you could do Vanity Bear.

I'll see what I can do.

Tiny note: I think the word you want is "flurry" (perhaps you unconsciously combined it with "slew"?) but not "slurry."

Now to brainstorm.

Forbes might become Forbears

Smart Money to Smart Otter or maybe Smart Honey

Barron's becomes Bearron's or maybe Bear Runs

USA Today might be USBear Today
