beautiful sunday
Sep. 21st, 2008 09:16 pmDavid slept in this morning while I got up and walked the dog - and stopped by Blue Bottle Coffee for a dark chocolate mocha - and picked up a Chronicle and came back home and got back in my nightshirt and read the paper. then we adventured out - and chose a new restaurant this morning - La Boulangerie Bakery - at Octavia and Hayes Street. It was truly lovely! I had sired eggs and Dave had a "breakfast pizza" with smoked salmon. It was a very healthy breakfast both served with VERY fresh un-sugared fruit. (yay - I hate fruit thats been soaking in sugar water) Then we came back and cuddle and took a long slow shower before he headed on to the squaredanceathon - and I headed to the theater for the last matinee. Leo (who plays my boyfriend in the play) was all nerves as his mother, and his new guy and brother were in the audience. We had a great enthusiastic show - full of lots of unique moments. Its good that were still putting in that kind of quality work six weeks into the run. Then I came home for a beauty nap before meeting David and his square dance pals (Fen and his boyfriend, Paul, David and I) for dinner. (Hi Fen!) I'm not a big fan of the Sausage Factory - I have some friends that swear by it. but - my meal was extremely mediocre - - it was almost like microwave meal yummyness as in a yummy-factor of about minus 12. We ran into the adorabears (Michael
sfleatherbear and Michael
bibliocub) who were being featured at a reception at the AIDS benefit store (I want to say "out of the closet" but thats wrong) for being donors - their names and picture are up on the wall for the year. They are such benefactors on so many levels! wow! Came back here and walked Miss Kate - and David took Paul to catch the bus to the Amtrak to return home to Oregon. Overall just a beautiful day full of beautiful people. A great way to wrap up a weekend.
