Miss Kate in the passenger seat on the way to Golden Gate Park

I got home tonight and took Miss Kate to Stowe Lake for walkies. I got delayed in the parking garage - (they are painting new arrows downstairs) - and well - the sunset was happening as we drove out - so it was quickly dusk - then dark in Stowe Lake. It was lovely to watch the light go away and the insects and other flyers that love the dark came out in the twilight. It was a true sniffathon for Miss Kate - with her stopping every few feet to sniff and discover things. By the time we got back around to the car it was well and truly dark out - it's unseasonably warm here tonight. The sun has gone down and it is 70F out. I have the fan running - and I'm finishing some cheese and fruit.It was nice to have a somewhat normal day today - and come home to no projects - just quality time with Miss Kate - she just finished up her dinner and we're going to cuddle up and watch a movie together. Not sure which one yet.

one of the best gifts of meditation is learning when your life has only one choice - stop and reflect and simply pause - - it gives you the space to respond to your world rather than react to it. and part of my pausing always involves a long walk in the woods with Miss Kate.
