My boss came by my office this morning and showed me her box of fruits and vegetables from "Farm Fresh to You"...

I am so totally sold! So - every two weeks - I'll get a good sized box of organic fruits and vegetables DELIVERED TO MY OFFICE in a carry home box! This week's box? Fresh Kale, Chard, Satsuma Mandarin, Pears, Sweet Potatoes, Cranberries and Fall Apples. Each box comes with recipes showing you how to use the fresh ingredients to their full potential.

Even better - they send you an email three days before deliver showing you the contents - and allowing you to "veto" anything and exchange for something else.

I am so friggin' stoked! It's such a great service and very very affordable... ($30 a box, which is very affordable considering food price these days) It's certified organic produce - and it is going to expose to me all sorts of new things to learn how to cook. As much as I love my trips to Golden Produce - - this is a way to ensure I'm getting organic produce regularly - rather than just when I can make it to GP. :) I'm pretty excited!

Awe to the sum.....

yeah - I just like how it'll introduce me to new things and tastes and recipes. I've been feeling like I'm stuck in a rut food wise :)

Sounds great. I would love to do that here, and found a place, but they only deliver to doorman buildings in Manhattan. Mine is not. Trying to see if they will leave with my Super or if I can get a day time delivery at work.

thats what makes this the bestest - is that they deliver to my office :) so that way - even if I'm heading to David's after work - I get my stuff. I love the variety and the way it'll expose me to new things.

What an excellent concept! Especially those of us who are busy and have very little time to get to the market during the week.

particularly in parts of the world like yours that freeze SOLID in winter time - some fresh vegetables and such might do you some good.

SERIOUS SOUPAGE!

Exactly! This would be SO nice. I guess the partner and I seriously need to look into this.

I guess it doesn't work for city-dwellers, but the idea here is to use local farmer's markets, eliminating as much as possible the environmental impact of shipping from one state to another, and just buying produce from your own state. If it isn't in season locally, go without.

I confess to not doing this nearly as much as I should.

This delivery service comes from a local organic farm.... did I miss a memo here somewhere? It[s like a delivery farmers market.

I get the Regular Box delivered to the house once each month. Their stuff is awesome. The newsletter that comes in the box (contents list, recipes, and update from the farm) is usually a nice read too.

Enjoy.

No, Berkeley is in Alameda. I was thinking about home delivery because we are not permitted to receive personal deliveries at the lab.

My coworker and I started this a few weeks ago. We are splitting a small box every other week but we pick it up instead as delivery is not an option. Today is pickup day, w00t! http://www.fullcirclefarm.com

I'd be worried if my boss walked into my office showing me her box of fruit.
