My friend Jim and I have had the devil of a time getting together for dinner (particularly since a particular math genius started schaffulling up my weekend time) He called out of the blue and we had the BEST dinner tonight. I roasted a pork loin and served the leftovers of the goatcheese pasta with it with some pink lady apples. (omg pink lady apples are flavorgasm level bazillion) It was a great tremendous catch up - and I'm so glad to have friends like Jim in my life. He's a retired computer geek - who has found buddhism and a path of reinvestment in interpersonal relationships that gives us a great deal of ground to talk about despite our age difference. I first met Jim on a hike on Mt. Diablo with Tommy
notdefined - gosh - now almost two years ago. (he actually reminds a great deal of Tommy which is probably why I like him so much!) He's going to take Dave and I hiking around Mt. Tam in the next couple of weeks. If I'm in that kind of shape when I'm 62 I will kiss the earth - and remind myself of the first couple of years of friendship with Jim. Wonderful!
