Who knew when I started this hobby on a lark nearly three years ago - that I'd be nearly 20 episodes in the can and learning more about cooking every single day.

This was so fun and awesome to make. The thing I'm most proud of is that the images in the opening credits are all meals I've cooked over the last six to eight months. :) I'm so happy with how this turned out!

What's the excitment from a paper bag? Why not use parchment or a Reynolds oven bag? Just curious, because I've never tried it.

I ate "sole en sac" while in France. It was my first experience with cooking using a brown paper bag, and I thouyght it was a novel way to use brown paper bags.

Now, I'd hate to rain on your parade, but, um... I found the following here.

Note: In May 1998 the United States Department of Agriculture issued the following advice:

Do not use BROWN PAPER BAGS for cooking. They are not sanitary, may cause a fire and can emit toxic fumes. Intense heat may cause a bag to ignite, causing a fire in the oven and possibly adulterating the turkey. The ink, glue, and recycled materials in paper bags can emit toxic fumes when they are exposed to heat. Instead, use purchased oven cooking bags.

Ross saw a pork loin recipe on Rachael Ray the other day, and he went over the moon, had to make it, where's the ciabatta bread? It's pork loin, cut as you cut this one, stuffed with fresh, diced rosemary, then covered with a few slices of prosciutto. Chill it, and later, slice and pop into some ciabatta rolls for small sandwiches--the rosemary flavour gets a chance to come through when chilled--great stuff.

But now! With this recipe, I shall win the Glassey Drive Pork Loin Affair! (Making mental notes--golden sultanas, chopped apes, leek and garlic.) Couldn't be easier, or better! Thanks for the demo, too. You're right that the opening images show a fantastic array of yumminess out of your kitchen.

(Would that happen to be David's kitchen? :::whispering::: There's not an appliance in sight, Bob. Your voice was echoing like you were in a brand-new [which is to say "empty"] house!)

I've been alone for 2 days, as Ross is traveling for work. Tomorrow mid-morning, I'll have a tidy-up, lest he walk in and say, "It's a brothel in here!"

Well, I've never been in a New Zealand brothel, but apparently, they have appliances all OVER the kitchen counters *lol*

And the asparagus - what a fantastic and easy way to cook it! I've never heard of cooking it in a bag but I'll have to try it.

yeah - the asparagus - is a no brainer - it's SUPER EASY and never fails (unless of course you left the bag in the oven all day or something)

Very nice! I don't think I've ever heard your voice before so that's always a bonus with these video things.
