I'm off to a class at Gold's described as "A motivating mix of total body weight training synchronized to groovy grooves. Reshapes every major muscle group in your body ...FAST!" I might not live to see 8pm. Wish me luck...

I am too self conscious to go to a class at a gym. I know it is dumb, but I still feel weird. I have been wanting to start yoga classes for two years and have yet to work up the courage to go. I am glad you are not like me!

I find solace in the #s. THis class is about slow count weights for many reps. and she plays great music. I liked it A LOT.

Michael Golden was feeling pretty darn buff last night when I gave him his welcome-to-DC hug!

a few more weeks of that class and I'll be seeing some serious results. It isn't a fast paced class - its a slow class - four or five count reps with low weights but for 20 or 30 reps concentrating on form and position. I love it!

Yeah - Body Pump is the next level up from this class - this class concentrates on slow reps - three four count movement with lower weights - but for 20-30 reps. It's pretty awesome!

Dave and I were just discussing that - probably this spring. It's expensive and PAINFUL.

When you start coloring it in (wheee!), do so in a manner that if you should stop after that session, it doesn't look incomplete. Know what I mean?

When I had my backpiece done, honey, on the spine, you FEEL it, I had the guy do the entire outline first. Then I was going to decide whether to complete it that afternoon, or make it a two step process. Of course because mine is a very basic neolithic design, there was only one big piece to fill in, not various little quadrants, nu?
