saturday morning...

It's been a quiet morning here - Miss Kate and I have been listening to Jane Monheit, Diana Krall and the new album of romantic standards by Queen Latifah. (yes, and it's beautiful!)



She took the IV fluids and her anti-nausea shot this morning with good graces - right now she's curled up on the bamboo rug (a favorite spot of hers) sleeping. All this has taken it's toll on the poor gal - - but we're hopefully going to pull right through. I've been sipping coffee - and reading the newspaper and chatting with John in NY. :) good day today.

Latifah is a beautiful, multi-talented woman, and she has shown that quality in so many ways that go beyond her female rapper's roots. What is the name of this new album of hers? I love standards (and totally melted over Linda Rhonstadt's three albums of them), and can't wait to hear her take on them...

As for Miss Kate: YAY! I will continue to keep you both in my thoughts, Robert.

she's good - she's tolerating the liquids and injections like a trooper. I'm staying with her - she's in good spirits - napping a lot - the poor dear - but she's actually looking really good. I'm hoping when we go to the doctor on Monday - we'll be able to wean her back on food and get past all this. (crosses fingers)
