I picked up my new art from Jon Gatto today. I'm so very pleased. He framed three of the pieces in handmade iron clip frames - giving them a very modern, clean look - and framed "come in the water's fine" in a traditional black wood frame. I could not be happier. Click here for close ups of the artwork. There is nothing more satisfying than having art made by my friends up in my home. I'm truly delighted!

Jon had new business cards printed, "Jon Gatto: Art for Customers with Balls"

Such great work! I love the way you've displayed them. You're inspiring me to get my butt in gear and frame some of the art I've been buying and some old paintings by my grandmother that need to be framed and displayed.

you are such a sweety to be sensitive to my exposure to such major homosexual activity - but has it occured to you that MUCH worse than the simple cock grab of the photo has happened and happened repeatedly in the bed it's above?

Easy to see why you're pleased - they're stunning drawings, framed to show them off to best advantage. Love the crazy organic algae sculpture which somehow seems to complement the pictures.

the aglue sculpture is a favorite art piece. Algue is designed by
Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec. Inspired by nature, Algue, French for "algae," are individual plastic elements that can be joined to create personalized interior design elements, from screens to room dividers. Twenty-five segments are required to create 10 square feet of light net mesh.

Here is a shot of the original installation at the NY MoMa.

I saw this and fell in love. and then - like they read my mind - they started selling Aglue at the MOMA here in SF. and I buy a box every few months and add to my scuplture. It used to stretch across the wall in my living room (see below) but I like it a lot better in the current config. Here in the corner with the paintings - it has real depth - and a much more organic feel. I want to add a layer of black behind it all to make the white, red and green pop more. and they also now sell it in "clear" - which would be a cool affect also.

I'd think it might make an interesting stage design material.

You bet it'd be a great scenic material ... can you just imagine what it could do for "The Tempest" or "A Midsummer Night's Dream" ?! ...and the clear version would probably react wonderfully with lights too.
Thanks for the added pics !
