came home and miss kate had tried to tear the moulding off the door to come find me. :(

So - I had to break out her crate and I crated her up. The last thing I need is her destroying the apartment while I'm gone.

I hate putting her back in her crate - but perhaps its the best thing for now.

Miss Kate won't piddle in her crate - and rarely if ever pees in the house. I just need to clear my schedule this week and keep her feeling like the center of the universe when I'm at home.

Srsly -- sounds good. JOCK THE DOG! (that's his real name, all in caps, with the exclamation point) needs some help to get over his compulsion.

The piddle pads are a training aid for puppies and have been treated to draw them to it.

They generally measure about 2 foot square, and I'd recommend putting two side-by-side, on top of a piece of vinyl carpet runner.

JOCK THE DOG! pees on the wooden 6" wide threshold of the door. It's a funny habit he's got there, and I couldn't tell you why. The carpet going up to the threshold is brand new, the threshold is painted with gloss paint so any dirt comes up in a jiff, the previous owners didn't have any pets...? Where is the compulsion coming from?

There are 2 other doors in the house. He's too rotund to get through the cat door in the kitchen, so he rarely worries about that, and he's the total boss of the front glass door where he can survey his kingdom and all would-be interlopers. No piddle anywhere in the entire house but the threshold of the back door. Goofy muttly.

I'll take some piddle pads back with me and give 'em a whirl. They would have to affect his habit somehow!
