spoke to Drew in Houston

Drew (my brother, bootedintexas) and I caught up - since he was in Houston where the hurricane came through. It was pretty much done by mid morning - but the damage is apparently pretty severe. But DTP and Drew have lots of frozen goodies to eat, lots of juice - and apparently - are going to have to learn patience. Their generator has proved unreliable. But DTP and Drew are on higher ground and didn't flood (unlike a mall that is apparently a river)... but he said "trees in the front yard snapped at about three feet and are literally just gone". But he is in good spirits - but sounded tired. I bet everyone in Houston - that is dry and safe post storm are going to sleep really well tonight.

I was wondering/concerned about Drew. Glad to hear he weathered the storm OK and has at least an independent power source. CNN reported today that it may take four weeks to restore power to everyone that lost it in the storm.
