Giving up on men is a good thing for a while. I'm kinda doing that, and only using them as means to my own ends. That way I can still get some "hot dog and buns" but I don't expect anyone to be anything like genteel or to call me again after.

Trust me, based on what little I know about you, I've got you figured for at least 5 more trips on the Love RollerCoaster before you finally realize that you reall more in love with the idea/concept of being "In Love" than the actual long term excericise of actually being in love.

Real love may not bear any resemblance to your notions of romance, shared baths by candlelight, romantic dinners and flowers. Real love may have a lot more to do with making sure that the oil in their car is changed on schedule, making sure they have clean underwear for their next business trip, and making sure they remember their Mom and Dad's anniversary, than two guys in rented tuxedos having a commitment ceremony and a honeymoon cruise in the Medierranian.
